If you're not obsessed with On My Block yet, it's safe to say you will be soon. The half-hour coming-of-age comedy from Awkward's Lauren Iungerich, Jeremy Haft, and Eddie Gonzalez isn't afraid to really go there (like, really go there) in each of season one's 10 episodes, whether it's diving into gang violence, love triangles, deportation, or buried treasure. So how is the show able to cover all these topics at once? On top of the excellent writing, we can thank the young cast's exceptional performances. The funny thing is, outside of On My Block, you might be surprised to see what all of the stars actually look like (especially Oscar "Spooky" Diaz!).
