"Bounty hunting is a complicated profession," and the first trailer for the Disney+ series The Mandalorian proves just how accurate that is. Disney dropped the video for the Star Wars spinoff series at its biannual D23 convention on Aug. 23, and though it doesn't necessarily give any hints to the plot, it definitely provides an idea of what fans have to look forward to. The footage shows the lone warrior known as the Mandalorian (played by Pedro Pascal) as he navigates the outer reaches of the galaxy, known to now be a lawless post-Imperial world. It also gives brief glimpses of the rest of the show's cast, which includes Gina Carano as Cara Dune and Carl Weathers as Greef, as well as Werner Herzog, Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, and Omid Abtahi.
The series takes place after 1983's Return of the Jedi and the downfall of the Empire, following the Mandalorian as he is sent on a mission to collect something of great value for a guild of Bounty Hunters. From the looks of the trailer, he definitely won't be having an easy time of it. Watch the video above, and keep an eye out for when The Mandalorian drops for streaming exclusively on Disney+ on Nov. 12.
