The third season of Dear White People is nearly upon us, and to celebrate, Netflix shared a taste of what we'll be watching in a revealing new trailer. And just to warn you, things are getting switched up in a few big ways.
For starters, Sam (Logan Browning) is no longer the host of the college radio show that started it all (aka the titular "Dear White People"). Instead, seemingly burned out and confused about what she wants to do in life, Sam hands over the reins to Joelle (Ashley Blaine Featherson). Fortunately, Joelle is prepared to shake things up. In addition to that change, we'll get a look at Coco's (Antoinette Robertson) mom, played by Community's Yvette Nicole Brown, as well as what looks like a financial crisis for Gabe (John Patrick Amedori) and some interesting sexual explorations for Lionel (DeRon Horton).
Watch the season three trailer above, and keep an eye out for the dramedy when it drops on Netflix on Aug. 2.
