Mike Kelley, the creator of the ABC hit Revenge, is back with another thriller, but this time around, Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger is the one stirring up trouble. In the first trailer for the upcoming Netflix series - which is billed as a"neo-noir social thriller [that] explores the ripple effects of what happens when acceptable people start doing unacceptable things" - we're introduced to cash-strapped San Francisco newlyweds Lisa and Sean (Jane Levy and Blake Jenner) who are made an offer by Zellweger's character, Anne.
"Now that you're on the brink of greatness, are there still limitations on what you'd be willing to sacrifice?" Anne seductively asks Lisa, as her husband looks on. "In this case, a night alone with your husband. Would that be an acceptable condition of a firm offer to finance your company?"
From there Anne's mysterious (and dubious) offer presumably spins out of control. Judging from the wild final seconds of the trailer, Lisa and Sean won't be the only ones pulled into her orbit, either - Dave Annable, Louis Herthum, Samantha Ware, Daniella Pineda, and Juan Castano also star. Watch the trailer above and keep an eye out for the series when it drops on Netflix on May 31.
