With her pastel hair and passion for quirky brands like Miu Miu and Kenzo, Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams is a 21-year-old style icon, and her latest shoot definitely confirms her status as a darling of the fashion industry. In a shoot by acclaimed photographer Rankin for S Magazine, Maisie sports a series of looks that play on her passion for bright colors, playful prints, and androgyny. She poses in a backstage-at-the-circus setting dressed in looks including a Saint Laurent star-print minidress, a white Gucci skirt suit, a 3D flower appliqué dress by 4 Moncler Simone Rocha, and ensembles by Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. It's all a far cry from Arya Stark's leather armor and dark colored outfits.
In the accompanying interview, Maisie discusses saying goodbye to the role that made her and thanks her fans for their continued support. "They just dedicate their lives to supporting me. I'm so grateful for people like that. It makes you feel incredible," she says, explaining that their support has allowed her to work on other projects outside of Game of Thrones. This includes the launch of the app Daisie, which is designed to help connect creative talents in the hopes of leveling the playing field for people looking to get into the arts and entertainment industries. "There's huge injustice in the industry; it's very hard to break in," Maisie said, acknowledging that the circumstances of her own big break at age 14 are not the norm. "I truly believe that this is something that can help people. We really poured our heart and soul into the company."
The full interview can be found in the Spring / Summer 19 edition of S Magazine, on global newsstands now.
