Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Explain Why They Wait a Few Days Before Naming Their Babies

It's no secret that the Kardashian babies have some pretty unique names, but there's a lot of thought that goes into each and every name, and even some trial and error. During Monday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian sat down to talk about season 16 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and, of course, all things babies. Jimmy spoke for all of us when he asked Kim if Kanye West comes up with their kids' names on his own. Kim, who is expecting her fourth child via surrogate, said that everyone in the family weighs in on the name choice, "but it's usually after the baby is born when we're trying to figure out what the baby looks like."

Kim said her kids will go "about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me." We've got to hand it to the girls, because this is smart! No matter how many lists of unique baby names you read or movie characters you connect with, you can't really feel the power of a baby's persona and identity until they are born. And Kourtney absolutely agrees with her sister.

"I did a week the last time," Kourtney said about her now-4-year-old son, Reign. "I would try out a different name on different days. Reign, his name was Preston for one full day." After a little experimentation, Kourtney knew that Reign was a natural fit and she convinced Scott Disick as well. As for the name of Kim and Kanye's fourth child, they have some ideas. Watch the clip above around the 2:40 mark and see what they have to see about baby names.
