Harry Shum Jr. sure knows how to say thank you to a friend! After what the 36-year-old actor called a "crazy past couple of months," he decided to give Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M. Chu a special gift: a detailed painting of the whole cast together. On Tuesday, Shum shared videos of his experience surprising Chu on Instagram and wrote a heartfelt note in the caption.
"I wanted to get him a gift that would be completely original and unique that celebrates this momentous film," Shum wrote. "Having known Jon for many years and the countless opportunities he has graciously given me to learn, grow and get a front row glimpse of his mastery as a filmmaker has been a highlight of my career."
