Etiquette, or a code of social behavior, in its modern understanding, appeared in the court of Louis XIV. This French Sun King distributed special cards (etiquette) to his guests which stipulated how they should behave. Of course, many rules and norms of behavior have changed since then. However, we all should know these modern etiquette rules well because it’s the language of mutual respect.
