The history of the scientific approach to anatomy can be traced back to Greek physician Herophilos who studied and described human anatomy in 275 BC. We have spent thousands of years studying ourselves, but there are still many things our bodies can surprise us with. Extra fingers and toes, double pupils, several rows of lashes and unbelievable flexibility are just a few of the body’s wonders that make people around the world look unique or even alien-like.
