The Rain is one of Netflix's most exciting new shows for a couple of reasons. Despite covering ground well-trodden by sci-fi series before it, the Danish apocalyptic tale about a group of young people struggling to survive in a world where the rain is filled with fatal toxins is an immensely entertaining way to spend eight hours. Mixed in with all the romance, drama, and graphic reactions to the virus that will make you think twice about what's in your water bottle, the show also includes a pretty great soundtrack.
