It's the end of an era. After 12 years, Kim Kardashian announced on Thursday that she and her sisters Kourtney and Khloé will be closing all of their Dash stores. The sisters started the business in 2006; it originated in a small storefront in their hometown of Calabasas, CA, and was heavily featured in their reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. They went on to grow the business, opening locations in New York, Miami, and LA and creating a spinoff reality show, Dash Dolls, which featured the lives of their employees.
Kim released a statement about their decision on her app, explaining that their busy lives as mothers and businesswomen played a role. Kim is mom to North, Saint, and Chicago, whom she welcomed via surrogate in January; Kourtney is mom to Mason, Penelope, and Reign; and Khloé welcomed her first child, daughter True, with Tristan Thompson earlier this month. We love our DASH Dolls and are so grateful for the amazing memories. And we have to give a special thanks to the DASH employees and all of the incredible fans and customers who have supported us throughout the years! We couldn't have done it without you. Thank you to everyone!"
